The most competent leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party politics Lal Krishna Advani is simultaneously a prolific writer, well-versed politician, good man and humble personality. This present political personality was born of a well to do family in Karachi of undivided India or present Pakistan before the independence in November 1927. Advani is a mature leader in BJP and has served as the home minister of the Government of India in the first term of the government by Bharatiya Janata Party and the Deputy Prime minister in the second term of the government from 1999 to 2004. Advani made his debut in politics by his entry in to RSS in 1942 and later on Bharatiya Jana Sangha and was elected to parliament in 1970 parliamentary poll. The significant political career of this veteran commenced in 1980 in the formation of Bharatiya Janata party by the great politician of the time Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1980. Advani is one of the mature leaders in Indian politics and a lot of changes have taken place both in Indian politics and the Bharatiya Janata party?s. His Ratha yatra to attain the support of the people for his party is much reputed. Advani has been awarded with the outstanding parliamentarian award in 1999 for his excellent leading of the party and role on various issues in the parliament. He is the strongest leader in BJP and is nominated as the prime ministerial candidate for the party in 2009 general elections. Despite these accomplishments L.K. Advani has been dragged to controversy over many issues like Babri Masjid Demolition where under his leadership Hindus demolished the Masjid for the construction of Ram temple thus hurting the consent of the Muslims. Jinnah appreciation issue is another matter that pushes him to conflict. In spite of all these controversies and hurdles Advani stands as one of the most undisputed leaders in Indian politics and the political organization of Bharatiya Janata party.
