Lucknow, Oct 31 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Gadkari has said parties like the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) were in cahoots with the Congress party.
Addressing a party meeting here on Sunday, Gadkari said that the secret roles of the BSP and the SP with the Congress in the various corruption scandals were an open secret in political circles.
"In the 2G spectrum case, we all know what was the role of lawmakers of the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Samajwadi Party in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), that is known to everyone. What kind of a role is this? These are all secret alliances. In Delhi they (Congress) will say something, in Lucknow, they (BSP and SP) will say something else. After the elections, these three may come together. But we can never come together with them. We can never ally with them," he said.
Gadkari also said that the repeated attacks of Congress leader Digvijay Singh on veteran social activist Anna Hazare and various members of his team should not be taken seriously at all.
"Anna Hazare has made the right comments about him (Digvijay Singh). He needs to take some rest for the sake of his health. His brain is not working properly due to this. You should not take him seriously, even we don't do it," he said.
Meanwhile, Bihar BJP president and Rajya Sabha member CP Thakur also stepped up an attack on Digvijay Singh's various remarks.
"People get demoralized and then strategies are taken to break down advisors and other such people. But the main way is to make the person stray from the main issues. It is like the preventive medicines that we are taught in medicines. So this is a preventive attack by Digvijay Singh. This is to attack in the first place and demoralize the other party," he told the media in Patna. (ANI)
