Narendra Modi (61), the Chief Minister of Gujarat will end his three-day 'Sadbhavna' (Communal Harmony) fast today evening. He was on the fast since Saturday (17 September) citing it as a 'Sadbhavna fast'.
He is trying to portray his secular image after court's decision and US development reports that has quoted Modi as a furture Prime Minister and praised the development work done by him in Gujarat.
Many hailed his fast while others slammed quoting that Modi's fast is mere a political stunt.

Narendra Modi after the Supreme Court's decision on 2002 Gujarat riots has decided to go on fast, as per BJP and close to Modi, he was seeing it as his victory in this case.
On the contrary, Congress and other allies have said it that Modi has not won in this case but court has ordered it to shift the case in the lower court and the decision is yet to come in this regard.
Citing it a '5-star fast', Shanker Singh Waghela, former Chief Minister of the state and present Congress leader had criticized Modi's decision of fasting and had decided to be on 'counter fast' on the same day before beginning of Modi's fast on Saturday to 10 a.m. on Tuesday (Sep 20) in order to show his protest.
Janta Dal (United), the ally of BJP in Bihar and Jharkhand too has criticised Modi's decision of fasting. JD(U) spokesperson Shivanand Tiwari had bitterly criticized Modi and said that Modi has failed to discharge 'Rajdharma' in Gujarat.
Defending Modi's decision, BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said, "There is a gang that is defaming Gujarat for the last one decade and they are doing it for their own political purpose, but they are getting defeated everywhere."
