He has faced a lot of opposition in his mission, still he has been stick with his philosophy that only a healthy body is not enough, system too should be free form all malpractices. 

Today if the art of Yoga has achieved a new dimension in not only in the India but also even across the boarder, then certainly credit goes to Baba Ramdev. Yoga, which was an ancient art to be cure and healthy, it has reached a new horizon by the effort of Baba Ramdev. 

Born on 11th January, 1971 to Gulab Devi and Ram Niwas, in Alipur village of Mahendragarh district in Haryana, he has studied up to only 8th standard. He has great curiosity in Indian old philosophy and culture and so he studied Sanskrit and Indian scriptures in various gurukuls. 

Initially he joined Kalva gurukul in Jind district in Haryana and started teaching yoga to the villagers. For his strong attractions towards Indian ancient yoga and medicines, he went into caves of Himalaya and practiced yoga and meditation. Ramdev always known for his extreme disciplined and tough life.

In 1995 he started Divya Yoga Mandir Trust in Kankhal, Haridwar.

Established in 2006, Patanjali Yogapeeth in Haridwar is another milestone achieved by Baba Ramdev, which is one of the largest centre of research in yoga and Ayurvedic medicines in the country.

Apart from this he also put himself in the political scenario of the country and lead movement against black money and corruption. Refusing about his any political ambition he replied to his opponent that only healthy body is not aim but system in which we lives, should be free from corruption and unhealthy malpractices. 

Raising his strong voice against corruption he organised a huge rally of over 1 lakh people in Ramlila ground on 27 February 2011 in which Acharya Balkrishna, Ram Jethmalani, Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi, Swami Agnivesh and many others supported him. 

He started an agitation in Ramlila Ground in New Delhi on 4th June against the rising corruption in country, which become a witness of police crackdown in midnight, which attain massive sympathy for Baba Ramdev. 

He voiced his opinions against the international fast food and cold drinks brands and advocated India drinks and home made recipes.

Today he has become a strong voice for the countrymen for his protest against black money and corruption.
