Haridwar, Apr 1 (ANI): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday said that he will hold a daylong fast on June 3 at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar area to raise awareness against corruption and black money hoarded within the country and abroad.

"This time, the movement that would be launched directed at New Delhi. It would include millions of people and the central government would see its glimpse on June 3. In case the government does not pay attention to the issues of black money, corruption and change in system of governance, then we will see to what extent, how and till when, they can suppress, the mass anger and torment millions of people," said Baba Ramdev.

Accusingg the central government of ' misappropriation of trillions of rupees', Baba Ramdev said that the money that has been stashed in the foreign accounts should be brought back and must be used for the welfare of the people.

"We are not saying any imaginary thing. We are not demanding any reservation but we are asking for the constitutional rights of nearly 121 million people of the country.

The 400 lakh crores rupees which has been looted earlier, and deposited in both domestic and foreign banks should be unearthed brought back from alien soil so that the poverty, unemployment, hunger, inflation which are increasing everyday could be solved," added Ramdev.

Ramdev equated the Government to Ravana and Kansa.

"The central government and the party which is in power at present, the way it is behaving can be compared as Ravana and Kansa. Lord Ram and Krishna took birth to annihilate Ravana and Kansa, who were symbols of evil, malpractice, and corruption. Since the number of Ravanas and Kansas has increased, every citizen of the country will have to play the role of Ram and Krishna and will have to follow their national duty," said Ramdev.

On June 4, 2011 Ramdev had held an Anshan (indefinite fast) at Ramlila ground in New Delhi to pressure the central government to root out corruption from India and bring back the black money stashed away in various financial institutions abroad.

At midnight, a massive police team converged at the ground and forcibly dispersed the gathering. The incident led to a lot of protests by anti graft activists and opposition leaders who held the central and the Delhi government responsible for the incident. (ANI)
