A standing committee of the Pakistan Senate has summoned Aziz on August 23 to question him over alleged financial irregularities.

A meeting of Senate's Standing Committee for Social Welfare and Special Education, which was presided by Senator Enver Baig, has taken notice of the financial irregularities in " Tawana Pakistan" program and summoned former Prime Minister and former federal ministers.

The committee has informed that the PC-I of Tawana Pakistan program for supplying food and medicines to 530,000 students was incomplete.
