London, Jan.26 (ANI): Brazilian football star Robinho and Manchester City coach Mark Hughes are to have their showdown talks sometime today, where Robinho is likely to be asked to explain why he left the club's training session in the Tennerife to return to his home in San Paulo, Brazil. The AWOL Manchester City star returned to England yesterday afternoon with wife Vivian and their son Robson Junior.According to The Sun, the Brazilian international has been told to report for training at the club's Carrington training ground first thing this morning for a meeting with manager Hughes.

Sparky as Hughes is popularly known, has claimed that Robinho returned to Brazil after quitting City's Tenerife training camp without permission. But Robinho is adamant that his departure was no secret.

City's owners sent a private plane to shuttle their 32.5 million pound record buy back to Manchester Airport from Sao Paulo. Robinho, expecting trouble with City, was due to meet with his advisors ahead of seeing Hughes.

"I did not run away and I did not hide. The club knew. I said goodbye to everyone with my suitcases so how can I be fined? I don't think that would be fair," Robinho said of over 300,000 pound fine.

"I did not go to Brazil to party but to sort out a personal problem. I don't understand the controversy hat this story has caused," he added.

Robinho's agents have reportedly been exploring the possibility of him moving to Chelsea in the last few days.

But the Samba ace said: "I have a contract at City and I am going to stay there. I want to triumph in England and fight to be the top goal scorer.

"I repeat I have no problems with Hughes - not before and not now. I did not come here just for the money but for the exciting sporting project where I am going to have an important role to play." (ANI)
