Pakistan, Tue, 20 Jan 2009 IANS

Islamabad, Jan 20 (IANS) Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Monday that the global community should ask India to resume the dialogue process with Islamabad, Geo TV reported.

He made the remarks during a briefing to foreign envoys at the foreign ministry.

Qureshi briefed the diplomats on post Mumbai situation and investigations being conducted by Pakistan in this regard.

He said the probe into Mumbai attacks was in progress and that Pakistan was in contact with the Indian government so that perpetrators could be brought to justice.

Qureshi said Pakistan wants peace, however, in case of any 'misadventure' by India, Pakistan will be forced to retaliate.

Later, Rehman Malik, advisor to prime minister on interior affairs, briefed the envoys about steps taken by Pakistan against the outfits banned by the UN.
