Bharatiya Janata Party stages protest against galloping inflation
New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a protest here today against the unrelenting annual inflation rate that shot to 11.89 per cent on the week ending June 28.
According to Government data released today, the twelve monthly inflation rate rose by 0.26 percentage point over the previous week's annual rise of 11.

BJP activists held placards and raised slogans against the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government accusing it of failure to control the price hike.
The protesting activists burnt effigies of various Congress leaders including Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
As per experts, the inflation rate was also above a median forecast of 11.75 per cent and is the highest since annual numbers in the current series became available in April 1995.
The annual inflation rate was 4.42 per cent during the corresponding week of the previous year. (ANI)
