Kathmandu, July 8 (ANI): The Supreme Court of Nepal has ordered the government to release two Nepalis and a Tibetan refugee who were arrested on charges of engaging in anti-China activity.

Supreme Court Justices Min Bahadur Rayamajhi and Top Bahadur Magar said that the accused were arrested without specifying the effect of their activities on the peace and security of Nepal.

"The effects can be both positive and negative, but they have not been specified in their arrest warrants. There is no basis for reaching a conclusion that they harmed peace and security just by chanting slogans," Kantipur quoted the judges, as saying.

Those released are Nawang Sangmo, Tashi Dolma and Kelsang Chung. They were arrested on June 19 from their respective residences. (ANI)
