Islamabad, Dec. 24 (ANI): Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmaker Khushbakhat Shujaat has said that she had received several harassment complaints from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees against Pakistani parliamentarians.
Addressing the National Assembly (NA), Khushbakhat was quoted by the Daily Times, as saying, "I have received several complaints from women staffers of PIA of harassment by officers and parliamentarians. The parliamentarians should consider their conduct since they represent thousands of voters who had sent them to parliament to safeguard their rights."
Khushbakhat added that the parliamentarians were entitled to get free tickets from the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for their official tours and to attend parliament sessions. But, the very lawmakers who were supposed to safeguard right of the masses, are violating it.Other MQM demands, during the parliamentary session were, abolition of word minority from Pakistan's constitution and declaration of Christmas day as a national holiday.
