New York, Dec 23 (ANI): U.S. President-elect Barack Obama might have had pure holiday fun playing golf in Kailua, Hawaii, but an expert, who analysed his golf moves, has some suggestions for the Democrat to become the greatest golfing President.
Tom Patri, one of America's top teachers and head golf instructor at Friar's Head on Long Island, analysed a couple of snapshots and some video taken of Obama, who allegedly carries a 16 handicap.
He said that Obama's pictures revealed that he did not get a bunch of time to practice, but the way he held the club was much better than the average recreational player.
According to him, one problem with his swinging position was an excessive knee flex, reports the New York Daily News.
The other problem in picture was that he had the clubface a bit shut as well as his grip on the club wasn't right.
Patri said that "lefty golfer" Obama had a weak lead hand and, as the picture showed, he would hit it left when he aimed down the middle.
Thus, the gold expert suggested that Obama should first and foremost strengthen his right-hand grip.
Patri pointed out that Obama seemed to have a lack of unwinding/pivoting of his lower body.
He observed a brief video clip and said that Obama was pretty darn athletic, and that he had a wonderful range of motion and a fairly good sense of balance.
The expert claimed that it would not take a great deal of work to help him play at a much better level. (ANI)
