New York, Dec 22 (IANS) Actress Kate Winslet has reportedly dropped out of a planned movie on the life story of British designer Dame Vivenne Westwood.
Winslet is now said to have scrapped plans to appear in the film, amid rumours that Westwood was unhappy with the choice of leading lady.
Imdb.come quoted a source as saying: 'Kate's people are saying she was never formally committed to the project, but there are whispers Westwood didn't want Kate playing her. In fact, Westwood doesn't seem keen on the film being made at all.'
The biopic on the fashion mogul is being produced by Universal Movies. Westwood has already spoken of her disdain for the movie project, insisting she 'doesn't know what is happening, but hopefully they (Universal) will drop it'.
