Lahore, Sun, 21 Dec 2008 ANI

Lahore, Dec 21 (ANI): India's preparedness for a probable war doesn't bother Pakistan, a private TV channel quoted Pak Defence Ministry officials as saying on Saturday.

They were responding to an intelligence report saying India may be preparing to strike against Pakistan in the wake of terrorist attacks in Mumbai last month that it blames on elements in Pakistan, the Daily Times repored.

According to the paper, the officials said that the Pakistani political and military leadership were fully aware of the grim situation on the Indian border.

Pakistan is keeping a close watch on the army deployment along the Line of Control in Kashmir and the activities of the Indian paramilitary Border Security Force, added the officials.

The Pakistan Army has been put on high alert, and national security institutions had been meeting on a daily basis to review the day-to-day security situation. The Prime Minister, President and the defence minister are being regularly updated reports. (ANI)
