London, Oct 16 (IANS) Raffaello Follieri, ex-boyfriend of actress Anne Hathaway, says he broke the law because he was trying to keep up with the lifestyle of his celebrity ex-girlfriend.
Tmz.com reports that Follieri was convicted by the law for cheating millions from investors. He explained his actions saying he was 'surrounded by movie stars and celebrities and this young man who neither drinks nor smokes became intoxicated with it all'.
Follieri's lawyer used the phrase, 'The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.'
Follieri even wants the judge to give him three years rather than four. His sentencing is on Oct 23.
