Tournament's fourth-seed India's ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi and his partner Mark Knowles of Bahamas continued their good run as they pocketed the successive title in two weeks.
The duo claimed the top honours of the ATP Dubai Open Tennis doubles title with a fighting straight set victory over Czech pair of Martin Damm and Pavel Vizner here on Saturday.
The Indo-Bahamian pair prevailed over their third-seeded opponents 7-5, 7-6(7) in the final that lasted for one hour and 48 minutes. Bhupathi and Knowles were richer by $89,500 and gained 300 ATP points after the win.
This is the second ATP title won by Bhupathi and Knowles on the trot. The duo had just won the Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis (USA) last week.
The duo also ended as runners up in the Australian Open this year. For Bhupathi it was the 43rd career title, while Knowles added the 49th career crown to his kitty.
Bhupathi and Knowles moved into the finals after scripting a resounding 6-2, 6-0 victory over second-seed Swedish-Austrian pair of Simon Aspelin and Julian Knowle.
