Germany to host women's Champions Trophy'08
The six best women’s teams of the world will vie for the top honours of the 2008 Women’s Champions Trophy that will be played at the Warsteiner Hockey Stadium in Monchengladbach, Germany from May 17 to 25.
Australia will meet Japan in the tournament opener on May 17.
World Champion and defending Champions Trophy Champion Netherlands, Olympic Champion and host Germany, Australia, Olympic Games host China, Argentina and Japan are the 2008 Samsung Champions Trophy participants.

The event is extremely important for the participating teams, as they will be in full preparation for the Beijing Olympic Games, to be played in August 2008. It will also give all the teams a chance to judge each other ahead of Olympics.
