New Delhi: Anna's one day Dharna (protest against government) prior to his 9 days declared anshan (hunger strike) schedule to begin from December 27 2011 in order to protest government's move to not to present strong jan lokpa bill in the parliament, has gained huge success as thousands of the general public across the country gathered at Jantar Mantar since early morning today to support Anna.
As per expectation, the common public began to gather at Jantar Mantar since Sunday early morning, well before beginning the program of Anna's protest to show the support to his new social icon and to protest the government's deed for passing weak lokpal bill.
The number of the supports reached to beyond estimated crowd of 5000 people.
Anna's team had also invited to all parties to come at Jantar Mantar and to debate over the topics. Most of the big parties' leader went to the protest place except the ruling party Congress (I).
Arun Jaitely and Vijay Goel from Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Sharad Yadav from Janta Dal (United), A B Bardhan from Communist Party of India (CPI), Brinda Karat from Communist Party of India (Marxist), Ram Gopal Verma from Samajwadi Party (SP), Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa from Akali Dal (Badal), Yerran Naidu from Telugu Desam among others went to meet Anna to debate over the issue.
Most of the leaders incluing Jaitley, Karat, Bardhan, Naidu, and Yadav supported for strong Lokpal bill. Central Beureu of Investigation (CBI), the key of the government must bring under proposed Lokpal Bill, stretched Sharad Yadav and assured that he would do a comprehensive debate in the parliament and asked government to either extend the Parliament session or call special session for long debate over strong Jan lokpal Bill.
