New York, November 16 (ANI): The ongoing legal battle between Oscar de la Hoya and the woman who claims he imprisoned her during 'unusual sexual activities' has heated up.
Cecora had accused de la Hoya of emotional distress, false imprisonment, assault and battery after an alleged wild night of sex, drugs and cross-dressing last March 15.
De la Hoya's lawyer Judd Bernstein, on November 15, called the complainant Angelica Marie Cecora 'a prostitute and a grifter' and also asked for the dismissal of the case calling it a 'disgrace'.
"This case is a disgrace... reduced to its essentials it alleges that [de la Hoya] engaged in [wrongful] conduct because, after he and [Cecora] had engaged in consensual sexual intercourse, he unsuccessfully sought to convince her a few hours later to have sex with him again," the New York Post quoted Bernstein's court papers as saying.
He says that whatever happened between de la Hoya and the woman was voluntary and has asked for 'sanctions' against her lawyers.
"To call [my client] a prostitute and a grifter is the saddest and lowest manoeuvre possible," said Tony Evans, the Cecora's lawyer.
"We knew a powerful man would attack her character. We didn't attack his character. Threatening sanctions is a bullying tactic. And, it only makes me more excited for this case," he said. (ANI)
