BJP leaders slam government over corruption

Jaipur, Nov 11 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders have slammed the ruling Congress party for not trying to bring back black money stashed in Swiss banks, which could be used in the development projects in rural areas.

Senior party leaders Sushma Swaraj, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Vasundhra Raje were present with party veteran L K Advani for his rally in Jaipur as part of a nationwide anti-corruption tour undertaken by him.

While addressing his supporters, Advani said if the government could seriously work to bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks then the rural areas of the country could be immensely benefited by it.

"If we can bring back 25 lakh crore rupees back to India then all the villages in this country would get electricity and water for 24 hours. The farmers of every village would get water for agriculture, good schools, roads and all facilities hospitals. There would be prosperity in the villages of India," said Advani.

Swaraj also cornered the Congress government over rising inflation and corruption saying that the government became unpopular as it failed to take action on these two burning issues.

"In 2010 the government became unpopular among people and since the beginning of 2011 the government lost all its credibility. The government has become unpopular because of inflation and has brought a bad name for itself because of corruption and scams," said Swaraj.

Meanwhile Ravi Shankar Prasad slammed the Congress government on continuously making fake accusations against people who were trying to create awareness against corruption.

"The government has accused spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to be an associate of RSS. It also attacked the supporters of Baba Ramdev in Ramlila Ground and has been coming up with fake charges against Anna Hazare. Digvijay Singh and other well wishers and head of Congress party should understand that RSS is a certified nationalist organisation against which Indira Gandhi could do no harm then Sonia Gandhi will also fail to stop it," said Prasad.
