Cape Town, Nov 7(ANI): Australian batsman Michael Hussey has said that the team's warm-up win over South Africa A in Potchefstroom last week was the ideal preparation for the first Test, which starts in Cape Town on Wednesday.
"It was a brilliant hit out, the bowlers got some good spells under their belt and certainly some confidence up. The batsmen certainly had to work very hard for their runs particularly in the first innings," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Hussey, as saying.
"I think it sharpened the batsmen up because there was plenty of pace and swing and invariable bounce," he added.
Australia won the match by seven wickets after chasing down the 212-run target before tea on the third day. (ANI)
