Ludhiana, Nov 6 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assailed the ruling Congress party for not tackling the dual issues of corruption and inflation.
BJP President Nitin Gadkari said, while addressing his party's workers and other functionaries at a meeting in Ludhiana that corruption and inflation were twin sisters born from the womb of the Congress party.
"The Congress party has given birth to twin sisters-corruption and inflation. And as long as the Congress is in power, corruption and inflation won't go away. We had heard of scams worth 50 and 100 crores, but the 2G scam in Delhi was worth 1.76 lakh crores. People used to say that the Prime Minister is an honest economist. Even the Supreme Court said that if the Prime Minister wanted, he could have prevented this 2G scam," said Gadkari. (ANI)
