Cape Town, Nov 6(ANI): Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris says that he is confident his body will go the distance in the two-Test series against South Africa, which starts in Cape Town on Wednesday.
Harris has battled injury throughout his entire career and only once out of three attempts has he played every Test in a tour.
The 32-year-old, who was rested from Australia's tour match win against South Africa A last week, said that taking it slow is all part of the plan for limiting the risk of further problems.
"The big thing for me is rest in between games. I like to try and keep bowling, but there's days where I've been held back to just have that extra day rest," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Harris, as saying.
"That's something I'm probably still learning, that I have to have that rest. Instead of coming off a plane and wanting to try and train when the body is feeling stiff ... obviously giving yourself a couple of days to settle in and get used to the conditions," he added. (ANI)
