Iran's Supreme leader Khamenei accuses US of terror attacks in Middle East

Tehran, Thu, 03 Nov 2011 ANI

Tehran, Nov 3 (ANI): Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that he had 100 "undeniable" documents proving the United States has been behind "terrorist acts" in his nation and the Middle East.

"We have undeniable documents which show America was behind the curtain of terror in Iran and the region," the Politico quoted Khamenei, as saying.

"By presenting those 100 documents, we will disgrace America in the world," he added.

The US State Department immediately dismissed the charges out of hand, the paper said.

Iran had recently sent the United States a seven-page "rant" denying responsibility for the alleged terror plot to kill Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Washington, Adel al-Jubeir.

The US alleges the plot was directed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Qods Force.

Meanwhile, Khamenei called the allegation an "absurd terrorist scenario" that was made to distract from the ongoing US financial crisis.

"America tried to exert pressure on Iran and rescue itself from the Wall Street movement and its problems by the absurd terrorist scenario," Khamenei said.

"They want to accuse the most virtuous warriors and fighters in Iran of terrorism," he added. (ANI)
