London, Sept 19 (ANI): Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has commissioned a 3.5million-pounds mansion with a secret den where he can peacefully watch beavers play.
It boasts of five bedrooms, a 12-person jacuzzi and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking a 450-acre nature reserve.
The house comes with its own private jetty and custom-built hide overlooking a colony of beavers.
"Rio wanted somewhere secluded and away from the paparazzi, but it's the rare creatures that live on the reserve that have been the real draw for him," the Daily Star quoted a source close the footie ace as saying.
"He is particularly excited by the beaver colony which has lived there since 2005."
The mansion, close to Prince Charles's Highgrove Estate, will also include several beaver look-out towers.
Rio and partner Rebecca Ellison, 31, originally wanted to buy a house nearby but were beaten to it at the last minute.
"They were looking for somewhere they could relax, entertain, and sail," the source added. (ANI)
