London, Sep 18(ANI): British football legend David Beckham is being deluged with offers to take up the chance of a lifetime and own a football club in the United States' Major League Soccer (MLS).
According to the Daily Mirror, the MLS plans to expand their league to 20 clubs in 2013, and the huge decision facing Beckham and his advisers is to choose where their team will be based.
Among the options that the 36-year-old has are clubs based in New York, Miami, San Diego, Oklahoma and Cincinatti.
"David has the option for our 20th team and that option can't be exercised until after 2011 or after he stops playing," Dan Garber, the League's commissioner, said.
"So, we've got some time to figure this one out," he added.
MLS is sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation and comprises 18 teams, 16 in the US and two in Canada.
It represents the top tier of the American and Canadian football pyramids. (ANI)
