London, Aug 10 (ANI): Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch will face grilling by analysts and journalists tomorrow when he fields questions as News Corporation's reports fourth-quarter results.
It will be first time he has consented to face the press since the phone hacking scandal took place.
Murdoch did not participate in company's earnings call for the last three quarters, but this time he agreed to take part to personally respond to criticism over the scandal, the Telegraph reports.
News Corporation's board members met today ahead of the results, and are believed to have discussed how to refocus attention on the company's financial performance.
Analysts, however, are expected to ask more questions about the company's succession plans, corporate governance and ability to deal with the hacking row rather than its earnings, the paper said.
Murdoch is likely to face questions over whether a US investigation into allegations of phone hacking of 9/11 victims could turn up damning evidence.
Murdoch, however, will be relieved of answering questions about his daughter Elisabeth's appointment to the News Corporation board following her decision not to join. (ANI)
