London, July 12 (ANI): Famous Irish novelist and poet James Joyce's recently discovered passport has revealed that the author had falsely claimed that he was married at the time.
The author received the passport in 1915 from the British Consulate in Zurich, with the aid of which he could travel around Europe and pen down his epic 'Ulysses', reports the Telegraph.
In the passport Nora Barnacle is described as Joyce's wife and the photograph of him, thought to be previously unpublished, shows him wearing a hat and glasses along with his wife and two children - George and Lucia.
But now it has been discovered that he did not marry Barnacle until 1931.
The passport of the 20th century writer is expected to fetch 70,000 pounds when it is put up for auction in London this week. (ANI)
