Islamabad, Apr 25(ANI): Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider has returned to Pakistan from a self-imposed exile in the United Kingdom.
According to The News, Haider reached Islamabad's Benazir Bhutto International Airport this morning.
Haider was whisked away by security officials.
He was expected to meet Interior Minister Rehman Malik who has assured protection for the wicketkeeper and his family.
The now retired wicketkeeper had stunned one and all by fleeing the team hotel in Dubai hours before the final one-day international against South Africa last year.
After fleeing to London, he had claimed that he had got death threats from a person who wanted him to fix matches, and had subsequently sought asylum in the UK. (ANI)
