Hillary Clinton's fondness for British Foreign Secretaries

London, Apr 16 (ANI): US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's fondness for British Foreign Secretaries has once again come into the limelight.

Clinton, 63, had first admitted to having a crush on David Miliband when he held the office under the last Labour government, and then she was seen greeting current Foreign Secretary William Hague with a lot of affection.

The two-day informal meeting in Berlin is being used mainly to thrash out military policy in Libya, but it also has a focus on relationships, mainly how the allies are getting on with Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.

But there is clearly no problem in the relationship between Hague and Clinton, as the Secretary of State puckered up for a continental-style air kiss when they met.

Hague's hand rested on her shoulder as they embraced warmly.

It was also at a NATO meeting, this time in Brussels, that Clinton and Miliband showed their touchy feely relationship in a series of photographs in 2009.

A month before, Clinton had revealed in a magazine interview her unlikely crush on Miliband, some 18 years her junior.

"Well, if you saw him it would be a big crush," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling Vogue after she revealed that she liked his accent.

"I mean, he is so vibrant, vital, attractive, smart. He's really a good guy. And he's so young!" she had said.

Miliband returned the compliments, saying Clinton was "delightful to deal with one on one".

"She's someone who laughs and can tease, and she's got perspective as well," he added. (ANI)
