On Board PM's Special Aircraft, Oct 1 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday said international efforts were on to mount rescue operations for the hijacked tanker, MT Stolt Valor, that has 18 crewmembers on board.
Manmohan Singh was talking to reporters aboard his special aircraft while returning home from a 10-day long to the US, UN and France.
MT Stolt Valor, carrying 24,000 tonnes consignment of oil products, was hijacked Sep 16 from near the Gulf of Aden by pirates in the Gulf of Aden near the Somali coast, and is currently reported to be anchored at a port on the eastern coast of Somalia.
