SY detective agrees 'Al-Qaeda' killed Bhutto

New Delhi, Mon, 14 Jan 2008 NI Wire

‘Al-Qaeda’ killed Bhutto, claimed Scotland Yard detective agency, as the news published in a famous daily newspaper ‘The Sunday Times’, in London edition on January 13 revealing this fact that on the behalf of evidence collected from the spot where Benazir was shot dead on December 27, Scotland Yard agrees with Pakistani President’s disputed theory, ‘Al-Qaeda can be behind her assassination’.

The Sunday Times has quoted British officials as saying that Scotland Yard team is probing the involvement of Al-Qaeda behind murder of Benazir Bhutto. Though the Scotland Yard detectives have not proved it so far yet the investigation of Benazir Bhutto is still going on pointing this direction.

The detectives of Scotland Yard are helping Pakistani Police in the investigation of Bhutto’s murder. The three explosive specialists and a forensic science expert have recently joined the Scotland Yard team, which is investigating the Bhutto murder case.

Benazir’s personal friend and her biographer reported in ‘The Sunday Times’ quoting “British officials have revealed that evidence amassed by Scotland Yard detectives points towards Al-Qaeda militants being responsible for the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.”

The Newspaper also claimed that as per diplomats the reliability of recoded dubious conversation held between Mehsud and alleged bomb blaster is still unclear, cited the UK diplomats by saying it is "genuine".

Mehsud had sent a team of suicide bomber to follow Bhutto to rallies and seize an opportunity to kill her. Though the family of Bhutto is not ready to accept the claim of Scotland Yard detective agency. “The Police is trying to whitewash on the case”, said Asif Ali Zardari, the widower of Benazir. He is still asking the help of UN-led investigation in spite of any detective agency. “She was a world leader. We don't just want a sergeant from Scotland Yard determining the angle of fire," said Zardari.

The detective of SY forensic experts visited forth time on the ‘unfortunate’ death scene on Sunday and analyse the matter by doing more possible things including en-acting the crime and taking photograph of the scene from several angles. They also re-scrutinise the surrounding premise and focused on the spot where the incident took place. Fresh statements of the doctors of Rawalpindi General Hospital (RGH) were also taken besides reinvestigation the weapons used to kill Bhutto.
