Kohli to lead India after Dhoni, Yuvraj returns

India’s most successful cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has stepped down as skipper for limited overs format of the game on Wednesday. MS Dhoni made an announcement left everyone surprised.After that the India’s Test Cricket team captain takes over as India’s Cricket team all time skipper.

Under MS Dhoni’s leadership, India has won World Cup and T20 World Cup and he has cult following among fans of the game. Dhoni will be available for playing in ODIs series against England. Now it’s the time to watch Virat Kohli as a captain and see Dhoni playing under his leadership.

Earlier, it was supposed that Virat Kohli, is all set to take over as the Indian Captain across all formats. Virat Kohli also paid glowing tributes to his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni for being an inspirational leader and terming him as “captain forever.”

Test skipper Virat Kohli was on Friday handed the reigns of India's One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International cricket sides after Mahendra Singh Dhoni stepped down as the limited overs side captain on Wednesday.

The announcement came after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Senior Selection Committee led by chairman M.S.K. Prasad, met here to discuss the teams for the upcoming three ODIs and as many T20Is against England. Dhoni was, however, picked as a wicketkeeper-batsman in the limited overs format whereas Yuvraj Singh also entered in the team

Earlier, it was supposed that Virat Kohli, is all set to take over as the Indian Captain across all formats. Virat Kohli also paid glowing tributes to his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni for being an inspirational leader and terming him as “captain forever.”

Virat Kohli wrote on Twitter expressing his views that, “Thanks for always being the leader a youngster wants to have around him. You’ll always be my captain @msdhoni Bhai.” He expressed his feelings about the captain under whom he has played all along in the limited overs format since making his debut back in 2008.

MS Dhoni is considered as the most successful captain of Indian Cricket Team as he made India to become the number one in all formats of the cricket game. On Wednesday, Dhoni stepped down as India’s One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) captain, bringing the curtain down on his illustrious era when the Ranchi stumper won both the ODI and T20 World Cups.

In the three ODIs and three T20Is with England, Yuvraj Singh returns in the squad led by new skipper of India Virat Kohli. The names of the players for ODIs are Virat Kohli (C), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Wk), Lokesh Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Yuvraj Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Pandya, Ravi Chandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Amit Mishra, Jaspreet Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav.
 
For T20Is the names are Virat Kohli (C), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (WK), Mandeep Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Lokesh Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravi Chandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Yajuvendra Chahal, Manish Pandey, Jaspreet Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra.
