Lausanne (Switzerland), Oct 19 (IANS) European football's governing body UEFA on Wednesday opened disciplinary proceedings against FC Copenhagen after the Danish side's fans let off fireworks during a Champions League match against English champions Leicester City.

Copenhagen were beaten 0-1 by the English team on Tuesday in the group stage match at King Power stadium, reports Efe.

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body said it would study this incident on November 17.

UEFA considers the Danish club has breached article 16.2 of its disciplinary regulations by letting off fireworks.
