Marrakech, Dec 22 (IANS) Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande finished fourth in their debut at the Club World Cup here after losing 2-3 to Copa Libertadores champions Atletico Mineiro from Brazil.
Substitute Luan scored the winner in stoppage time for the South Americans, giving Cuca's side the bronze medal and the only victory of the tournament after they were upset by hosts Raja Casablanca in the semifinal, reports Xinhua.
Before the dramatic finish Saturday, both sides delivered an open and balanced match full of attacking football. Chinese winger Gao Lin twice created opportunities for Muriqui and Dario Conca to score.
