Djibouti, June 12 (IANS) A Pakistani warship, carrying a crew of 300 sailors and 40 marines, has docked at the Djibouti Port for a three-day stop-over to boost the fight against maritime piracy, reported Xinhua Wednesday.

Djibouti's Defence Minister and several other senior officers of the armed forces on Tuesday paid a visit to the Pakistani warship Tippu Sultan, which arrived Monday.

On Tuesday night, the Pakistani marines offered a dinner party to several members of the diplomatic corps in Djibouti and other guests on board their warship.

Situated at the junction between the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, Djibouti hosts the headquarters of the European operation for fighting against maritime piracy in the region.
