Islamabad, Apr 19 (ANI): Pakistan's former president general Pervez Musharraf has been arrested by Islamabad police.
The former military ruler reportedly surrendered himself to the police.
Pakistan's Supreme Court on Thursday rejected Musharraf's plea for bail in connection with a 2007 judges detention case, hours after he had escaped from the premises of the Islamabad High Court following cancellation of his bail application by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui.
Television channel reports said that the police has arrived at Musharraf's farm-cum-residence located on the out skirts of the city to carry out the order for his arrest.
Earlier on Thursday, immediately after the bail cancellation, police tried to reach Musharraf, but he was escorted by his personal security, and fled in his bullet-proof black four-wheeler. (ANI)
