London, Apr. 4 (ANI): Pippa Middleton has opened up a joking rivalry with London Mayor Boris Johnsons, saying that she wants to compete in a ping-pong match with him.
Johnson has been a high-profile advocate of table tennis, but writing in the Spectator, the 29-year-old socialite dismissed it as a "less demanding hobby" than the cross-country skiing that she enjoys.
In her article, Middleton wrote of taking part in the "haute route," a 111-mile ski trek from Chamonix in France to Zermatt in Switzerland.
She wrote in her column that as she is back from her Alpine challenges, she can pursue less demanding hobbies in her spare time, like ping-pong.
The Duchess of Cambridge's sister further said that she was informed that Johnson, former editor of this magazine, wants to be "whiff-whaff" world king even more than he wants to be a PM.
"I'm also told the Johnsons are almost as competitive as the Middletons. So I'd like to lay down a challenge to the Mayor," the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
She added that her only stipulation is that she can use her favourite Dunlop Blackstorm Nemesis bat, which she used when she played in the Milton Keynes U13 National Championships. (ANI)
