Will Musharraf return to Pakistan, he says 'now or never'

Dubai , Fri, 01 Mar 2013 ANI

Dubai, Mar. 1 (ANI): Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Friday announced the end of his self-imposed exile, and said that he will return to his country within a week after the establishment of a caretaker government.

"People think I cannot come back to Pakistan because I would be in danger and because of the cases; I leave all the danger to Allah. It's now or never," The Express Tribune quoted Musharraf, as saying at a media conference here.

Musharraf, who is the founder of All Party Muslim League, further said Pakistan had developed under his government, new universities had been set up and many sectors of the economy, such as agriculture and telecommunications, had boomed.

The military dictator has been away from his country since 2008 after the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was elected to power with a coalition government. (ANI)
