Melbourne , Fri, 15 Feb 2013 ANI

Melbourne, Feb 15 (ANI): Australian golfer Karrie Webb had an unexpected delay during the women's Australian Open at the Royal Canberra Golf Club when a group of kangaroos made an entry onto the putting green.

Webb, a four-time winner of the tournament, was delayed by the kangaroos when she was in the ninth hole, and had to wait patiently till the animals cleared out before playing on to eventually record a two-under par round of 71, the Herald Sun reports.

Similarly, Swedish golfer Daniela Holmqvist also had a brush with wildlife at Royal Canberra, after she was bitten by a red-back spider and had to use a golf tee to extract the venom from her leg. (ANI)
