Bomb blast kills 4, injures 13 in NW Pakistan

Islamabad, Feb. 14 (Xinhua-ANI): At least four people were killed and 13 others injured on Thursday afternoon when a bomb ripped through a busy market in Pakistan's northwestern tribal region of Orakzai Agency, local media reported.

According to the reports, the explosion took place in the Hassan Dara bazaar area when people were busy shopping or doing their jobs, killing four on the spot and leaving 13 others injured.

Soon after the incident the security forces rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to the hospital.

The security personnel started investigation into the incident but the nature of the blast was yet to be determined.

This was the second blast of the day that hit Orakzai Agency since morning, increasing the death toll to eight in two different incidents.

Earlier in the day in another incident, at least four people were killed and nine others got wounded when a landmine blast hit a passenger wagon in the same region.

No group or militant organization claimed responsibility for any of the two blasts yet. (Xinhua-ANI)
