Kazakh President congratulates India ahead of its 64th Republic Day celebrations

New Delhi , Fri, 25 Jan 2013 ANI

New Delhi, Jan.25 (ANI): The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, has congratulated India on the occasion of its 64th Republic Day, which will be celebrated on Saturday.

In a message addressed to President Pranab Mukherjee, President Nazarbayev said: "I cordially congratulate you on the National Festival of India - Republic Day. Further promoting of strategic partnership between our countries is an important guarantee of providing regional peace and stability. I sincerely believe that the bilateral trade and economic, scientific and cultural cooperation will continue to sustainably develop for the benefit of our peoples. Taking this auspicious opportunity, Your Excellency, I wish you good health, successes in your responsible office, as well as prosperity to the friendly people of India."

Kazakhstan and India share a rich spirituality, openness and tolerance, hospitality and cordiality and a steady pursuit of sustained development for the benefit of two nations.

A natural continuation of the historical traditions of our relations was the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership in 2009, which was adopted during the highly successful and fruitful state visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to India in the framework of which he took part in the 60th anniversary celebrations of the Indian Republic Day as the Guest of Honour.

Today, Kazakhstan accounts for more than half of India's trade with Central Asian countries. It has reached almost 422,10 US million dollars (in October 2012). This creates opportunities for Indian companies to enhance cooperation, business development and increase investments to Kazakhstan, effectively taking advantage of the huge emerging market.(ANI)
