London, Dec 7(ANI): Legendary tennis player John McEnroe has urged Britain's Andy Murray to celebrate wildly the next time he wins a Grand Slam.
The Scot looked stunned rather than ecstatic when he ended Britain's 76-year wait for a major title after winning the US Open in September.
McEnroe believes the British No.1 could go on to win two more majors next year and contend to be the best player in the world.
McEnroe wants Murray, who has cried after losing finals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, to show more positive emotion for the good of the game.
"One of the things that worried me - and he seems to have got much better at - is not being so -negative. He didn't play so well and it turned off people watching him," the Daily Mirror quoted McEnroe, as saying.
"It is helpful to see Andy be like: 'I want to be here and I'm loving this'. He's not going to change his personality, but the next time he wins a major, looking a little bit more excited would be nice," he added.
"He was probably relieved more than anything else. But as an ex-player, I just wish that at times I had done that more. It helps the whole game in a way. And this is around the time that something's going to give at the top of the world rankings," he said.
McEnroe added: "One thing they do in other sports in my country is really encourage people to express themselves, especially when they are winning." (ANI)

They certainly like people to express themselves in the US to the extent that they go completely over the top in the theatrical sense!! It is not Andy Murray's style,but though he didn't go crazy,(like jumping all over the place)the emotion emanating from him was obvious.
