Lahore, Dec. 4 (ANI): A member of Pakistan's Watan Party has moved a petition in the Supreme Court seeking immediate ban on activities of all the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) working in the country, their audit, and a complete inquiry about their purpose and other details.
Barrister Zafarullah Khan filed the petition stating that there was no information about the purpose of the NGOs working in the country, their sources of funding and where they were spending them, reports the Daily Times.
Khan alleged that these NGOs were dubious and were responsible for lawlessness in Balochistan, Karachi and other parts of Pakistan.
The federal government and the Ministry of Religious Affairs among others are made respondents in Khan's petition. (ANI)
