Richards says everything 'phenomenal' Warne touches turns to gold

Sydney, Nov 17(ANI): Caribbean great Viv Richards has said legendary Australian leg spinner Shane Warne would have been a great captain if he had got a chance, and added that whatever task Warne takes up, he excels at it.

Richards and Warne are huge admirers of each other, and it was Warne's idea only to get explosive batsman to take up a mentor role at the Melbourne Stars.

"He understands the game in and out. With his achievements, the part he would have played is just phenomenal," News.com.au quoted Richards, as saying.

"Anywhere Shane Warne is and anything he is involved with I guess is successful-it's just the nature of the individual," he added. (ANI)
