2 killed, 10 injured as blast hits paramilitary force's vehicle in S.W.Pakistan

Islamabad, Nov. 13 (Xinhua-ANI): At least two people were killed and about ten others injured when a roadside planted bomb hit a paramilitary force's vehicle in Pakistan's southwest city of Quetta on Tuesday afternoon, reported local media Dunya.

According to the report, the blast took place at about 12:50 p. m. local time when a pickup of Frontier Corps was hit by a roadside planted bomb while on its routine patrol in the Almo Chowk area of the city.

The bomb was fixed on a bicycle parked by the roadside, said the report.

The identities of the killed are not immediately known, said the report, adding that three FC personnel were among the injured who have been shifted to a military hospital in the city.

Local Urdu TV channel Geo said that the blast also damaged ten vehicles and several buildings nearby the blast site.

Police said that an estimated 10 to 15 kg of explosives were used in the bomb.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack yet. (Xinhua-ANI)
