Sri Lankan handicrafts on sale in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 7 (IANS) Seventeen award-winning master craftspersons from Sri Lanka are exhibiting their products here.

The products on display and for sale include jewellery, lace, ceramic ware, rush and reed items, batik, wooden toys, lacquer products, paintings and traditional Sri Lankan masks.

Their participation at the Dilli Haat crafts village was a sign "of the close relations that exist between India and Sri Lanka", a statement from the Sri Lankan high commission said.

The exhibition commenced Nov 1 and will end Nov 11. It has been organised by the National Crafts Council of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handicrafts, India.
