Now, 'bad boy' Ryder to face 'code of conduct' hearing for 'foul mouthing' umpires

London, Nov. 3 (ANI): New Zealand cricketer Jesse Ryder is in a spot of bother again after he foul-mouthed umpires Evan Watkin and Chris Gaffaney during Wellington's four-day cricket match against Central Districts in Napier this week.

Ryder ran of foul of Watkin and Gaffaney in between scoring a century in each innings and would now be summoned for a 'code of conduct hearing'.

New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White confirmed that Ryder had been cited but the hearing hasn't still been held.

"He has been cited, but the hearing has not been held and there is a 72-hour appeal process so I can't say any more," Stuff.co.nz quoted White, as saying.

According to the report, those at the match say Ryder became frustrated during Central's second innings when a leg before decision off his bowling against Kruger van Wyk was declined.

It is understood Ryder harped on for several overs about the decision and eventually the umpires tired of his behaviour took action, the report said.

The incident sours what was a breathtaking comeback to first class cricket by Ryder, who scored 117 not out and 174 in Wellington's five wicket win, it added. (ANI)
