Washington, Oct. 25 (ANI): President Barack Obama is leading by four percentage points over Republican rival Mitt Romney in the crucial swing state of Nevada, according to a new poll.
Nevada is one of the states the Democrats view as part of an Electoral College firewall, which is still leaning slightly towards Obama.
The Public Policy Polling found that nearly 51 percent respondents prefer to vote for Obama as compared to 47 percent who would vote for Romney.
The numbers are exactly identical to what they were when the poll was last conducted in the state two weeks ago.
Obama is already well on his way to winning Nevada based on early votes that have been cast in the week, Politico reports.
According to the poll, Obama has an advantage of 69/28 among Hispanics, 82/12 among African Americans, 54/44 among women, and 58/39 among young voters.
Romney has a lead among men (50/48), whites (57/42), and seniors (53/45).
Republicans have freely acknowledged that this is one of the tougher remaining swing states for Romney.
If Obama continues to hold Nevada and Ohio, Romney then needs to win Wisconsin in order to get the 270 electoral votes. (ANI)
