Washington, Oct. 10 (ANI): A fundraising event for the Romney campaign, which was hosted by running mate Paul Ryan in Chicago, prominently showed a sign banning audio and radio recording.
That warning was given despite the fact that the event was being covered by the press.
"The economy is growing slower this year than it grew last year and last year it grew slower than the year before. So since the president cannot run on his record, he has to tear down Mitt Romney," the Huffington Post quoted Ryan, as saying.
Tickets prices for the event ranged between 2,500 and 75,800 dollars on Sunday, held at the Hyatt Regency at O'Hare Airport. Ryan raised almost 2.5 million dollars from the event.
According to the report, Romney's campaign was hurt last month after a secretly recorded video of his offensive remarks about Americans he made at a May fundraiser was leaked to the press.
The video showed him saying that 47 percent of Americans were "dependent on government," saw themselves as "victims" and would support President Barack Obama no matter what, the report added. (ANI)
